“Sanjiro” was created using only the samples already contained on an old Roland 202 sampler. These samples were created many years ago and were used for an improvised performance by Trio CHANG in 2010. The sampler was then lost until recently found. In creating this piece, I used the perameters and structural boundaries that were used with the full band. The only sound not already contained on the sampler is the André Breton spoken text at the end.
